Blue Avians (called "Blue Avian" on their Archive page and "Blue Aviators" in the Archive's section contents) are, in the Alien Archive, tall, slender, bird-like humanoid beings of higher-density or interdimensional origin, serene and emotionally neutral, who offer "simplified, high-level truth" and perspective shifts rather than detailed information. Their modern lore comes largely from the 2010s testimony of Corey Goode. Gnostic literature has no bird-people, but it does twice picture the saving message as an eagle that wakes a sleeper — an image very close to the Archive's calm, awakening Blue Avians.

Gnostic perspective
No Gnostic text describes blue, bird-like beings, and the Blue Avian lore is a 21st-century creation. Yet the Archive's portrait — a serene winged messenger who delivers a simple truth that shifts perception — has two remarkable counterparts in Gnostic literature. The comparisons are thematic.
The eagle on the tree of knowledge
In the Apocryphon of John, the Savior retells the Garden of Eden story from the Gnostic side. The serpent is not the one who brings knowledge; instead the Savior himself says: "I appeared in the form of an eagle on the tree of knowledge, which is the Epinoia from the foreknowledge of the pure light, that I might teach them and awaken them out of the depth of sleep. For they were both in a fallen state, and they recognized their nakedness. The Epinoia appeared to them as a light; she awakened their thinking."[1] Here a divine being takes a bird's form, perches beside humanity rather than ruling it, and does one thing: it awakens thought. This is almost exactly the function the Archive assigns to Blue Avians — "assisting perception shifts" and "awakening" without interference. See Christ in Gnosticism.
The letter that flew like an eagle
The Hymn of the Pearl (also called the Hymn of the Soul), preserved in the apocryphal Acts of Thomas and widely read as a Gnostic allegory, tells of a prince sent from the East to fetch a pearl from Egypt, who forgets his mission and falls asleep among strangers. His royal parents send him a letter. In William Wright's translation: "It flew in the likeness of an eagle, the king of all birds; it flew and alight beside me, and became all speech. At its voice and the sound of its rustling, I started and arose from my sleep."[2] The winged message does not deliver an encyclopedia; it delivers a reminder of who the prince is. That is a fine emblem for the Archive's "communicators of simplified, high-level truth": the Gnostic call is short, and its whole power lies in waking the hearer.
The phoenix as witness
On the Origin of the World describes a soul-endowed creature called the "phoenix," which "kills itself and brings itself to life as a witness to the judgment against them" — the rulers who wronged Adam and his generation. The text adds that "the phoenix appears as a witness concerning the angels."[3] The ancient bird of renewal thus appears in a Gnostic cosmology as a sign pointing beyond itself — another avian "observer" whose role is testimony rather than intervention.
Serenity, neutrality and repose
The Archive emphasizes the Blue Avians' "calm, serene presence" and "emotional neutrality." Gnostic texts prize a similar stillness. In the Gospel of Thomas those who come from the light are told that the sign of the Father in them "is movement and repose,"[4] and in the Gospel of Mary the liberated soul, having passed the powers of desire and ignorance, says it will attain "the rest of the time, of the season, of the aeon, in silence."[5]
Angels of light
Because the Archive notes that Blue Avians are "sometimes blended with angelic-being interpretations," it is worth recalling that Sethian texts call their great luminous beings angels: in the Apocryphon of John the first Light, Armozel, is "the first angel,"[1] and in the Hypostasis of the Archons the luminary Eleleth introduces himself as "the great angel who stands in the presence of the holy spirit" and adds, "I am one of the four light-givers."[6] See Four Luminaries and Angelic Beings.
Background and history
Corey Goode and the "Sphere Being Alliance"
The Blue Avians as a named extraterrestrial race come almost entirely from the claims of Corey Goode, who says he served from childhood as an "empath" in a hidden "Secret Space Program." The Daily Beast describes him as a "UFO promoter and self-proclaimed deep-space traveler who consorts with benevolent aliens," who claims to have been recruited at age six on a "20 and Back" contract, and describes the Blue Avians simply as "a bird-like species of alien."[7] According to a review of the lore by Hangar 1 Publishing, Goode began describing contact around 2011, starting with dream encounters; the Blue Avians were presented as members of a benevolent "Sphere Being Alliance."[8]
Cosmic Disclosure and the Law of One
Goode reached a wide audience through Cosmic Disclosure, an interview series on the streaming service Gaia co-hosted with the author David Wilcock; the Daily Beast dates Goode's time at Gaia to 2015–2018.[7] Wilcock framed Goode's testimony as a kind of "Law of One 2.0," drawing parallels between the Blue Avians and the guardians described in the channeled Law of One (Ra) material of the early 1980s.[8] This is how the Blue Avians acquired their place among the "higher-density" beings of New Age cosmology.
Trademarks and lawsuits
Goode later secured trademarks on terms including "Blue Avians."[8] After he left Gaia, the company hired another host who also claimed Blue Avian contact; Goode sued Gaia in March 2020, alleging a conspiracy against him, and Gaia countersued in 2021 alleging defamation.[7] A 2022 BusinessDen report on Gaia's legal troubles captioned artist renderings of "Blue Avians, an alien species at the center of a legal dispute involving Gaia."[9] None of the claims has been independently verified, and they remain disputed; Goode's supporters regard them as genuine testimony. The Archive, in keeping with its "proceed with playfulness" framing, presents the Blue Avian as an archetype rather than taking a side.
